Bloodline Of The Holy Grail
“Jesus was the leader of a radical faction of Essene Priests. He was not of virgin birth. He did not die on the Cross. He married Mary Magdalene, fathered a family, and later divorced. He died sometime after AD 64” (Jesus The Man: Barbara Thiering).
From this perspective, the Holy Grail conspiracy relates to the possibility of a historical Jesus bloodline which has been suppressed, rather than the legend of the cup or platter used by Christ at the Last Supper, and in which Joseph of Arimathea received Christ’s blood at the Cross.
The Marriage & Bloodline Of Jesus
As Moslems and others would already know, the death of Jesus on the Cross is not a universally accepted belief.
In the alternative version, its believed Jesus survived the Crucifixion, and went on to live as a married, and later divorced man until after 64 AD.
As for Jesus’ Wife, Mary Magdalene is the obvious candidate, and according to what is apparent from the Historical records considered by Researchers like Laurence Gardner, Jesus fathered 3 Children with Mary producing a ‘Jesus bloodline’.
The ‘Jesus Bloodline’ has apparently been at odds with both the Catholic Church and the Protestants who have tried to deny its existence and heritage by amongst other things undermining the role of Mary Magdalene and other women in the Bible casting them in purely negative terms as ‘Harlots’ and ‘Adulterers’.
Its argued that the concept of Jesus’ Resurrection is a male-centered Myth for Papal exploitation and an exclusionary Male-Centered vision of Christianity in which women lost their Power as Fellow Teachers and Equals in Ministry.
In Barbra Theiring’s version of Christ’s life, she presents, after more than twenty years of close study of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Gospels, a revolutionary theory that, while upholding the fundamental faith of Christianity, challenges many of its most ingrained supernaturalist beliefs.
The fact is according to her, Mary Magdalene, Miriam and other women who are excluded from the Bible today, had greater status and authority as Teachers and Ministry Builders than has been credited to them.
The Holy Grail Mystery Legacy
The denial of Jesus’ marriage to Mary Magdalene and the Bloodline it spawned serves not only to deny Jesus’ marriage, his Humanity and the inheritance of his children, but to simultaneously deny women the role and respect they deserve not only in Religion, but in Family Life and Society itself.
Meanwhile the quest for the Holy Grail as a physical object continues but an alternative interpretation suggests that it may have more to do with the History and Politics of the Church than a physical relic.
